There are four models in this collection, each of which comes with an asphalt black or white metal face the pattern of which is repeated on the central link of the steel bracelet and on the oscillating weight made of tungsten. Water-resistant to 300 m, yet all the models have a sapphire glass base.

The DEFY CLASSIC OPEN comes with a new version of the harmonic El Primero calibre, the SC 4021. The movement’s oscillations at the rate of 36,000 vibrations per hour can be seen through the window in the dial. Each detail has been well thought out: the power reserve with its indicator, the applied indexes, the open-work luminous hands.

The DEFY CLASSIC CHRONO AERO is a 4000 SC El Primero chronograph, with three counters, in which the use of colours – inspired by aviation – guarantees maximum in-flight readability.

The DEFY CLASSIC POWER RESERVE has an Elite 685 SC movement, which displays a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock and a power reserve indicator, which looks like a dashboard counter.

The DEFY CLASSIC HMS, the most refined version, houses the Elite 680 SC calibre, with a small seconds dial at 9 o’clock and the date indication at 3 o’clock magnified by a lens.

The Manufacture is now launching a collection of sport-chic watches – DEFY – and has thus reconnected with its recent past of excellence and records in chronometry. Designed like a racing car, the new DEFY makes a powerful statement with its muscle-bound chassis, its racy profile, and athletic build. On the wrist it is impressive and compelling, thanks also to the different watch diameters, which vary according to the movement: 46.5 mm for the El Primero chronograph or 43 mm for the Elite series. Everything is geared to making the watch stand out and be different: from the decorative screw heads in the rotating bezel, to the articulated stainless steel bracelet. It is to watchmaking what the Formula 1 is to the automobile industry: focused high-tech at the service of pure emotion.

A combination of innovative materials equips these timepieces with a movement and a case body intended for use under extreme conditions: unbreakable, able to withstand high temperatures and pressure. They are the product of three years of R & D into the associated physical and chemical properties of these materials. The result is Zenithium, an exclusive ultralight, ultraresistant alloy, from which bridges of the movements are made.
