Omega gets off to a spectacular start in 2007 with the arrival of the Co-Axial Chronoscope collection, a handsome and sportier addition to the elite De Ville family. Inspired by the design of the successful De Ville Rattrapante collection, the mechanical, self-winding gentlemen’s De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope chronograph is powered by Omega's proprietary Co-Axial Escapement technology and delivers unsurpassed visibility of its multiple timekeeping functions. Derived from the Greek khronos for timing and skopos for observer, the Co-Axial Chronoscope transmits bold, manly appeal and joins the ranks of the classic De Ville lineage with contemporary flair.

The eye-catching dial of this watch –available in matt black, red and silver- features bold, contrasting sub dials designed to enhance the reading of the chronograph functions. The design pedigree of the De Ville Rattrapante family can be clearly traced in the attention to detail on the dial featuring three-dimensional hour markers and numerals that catch the light. With a 30-minute recorder, an ingenious 12-hour counter with a double arc window at 6 o’clock and a continuous seconds counter, the three enlarged and overlapping sub dials of the De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope have applied Arabic numerals for precision chronograph readings.


As befits a watch that prizes legibility, the De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope features a “truncated sector” date window. Strategically located between 11 and 12 o’clock, the date window allows for at-a-glance reading and displays the preceding and following dates should the hands obscure the date numeral.

To ensure accurate reading in even the most compromising light conditions, the Chronoscope’s hour and minute hands are luminous and the tip of the chronograph hand is red.

The handsome De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope is powered by the exclusive self-winding Omega calibre 3313. At the heart of this movement is Omega’s revolutionary and proprietary Co-Axial escapement technology, which considerably reduces friction in the escapement and offers improved long-term reliability and accuracy. The Co-Axial escapement represents one of the most important advances in watch making over the last 250 years and was first introduced in Omega's De Ville range. Column-wheel chronographs are widely recognised as the finest movements available and the column-wheel system is designed to ensure a smooth start to the sweep of the seconds hand when the chronograph is activated. It also provides precision stop and reset functions that do not interfere with the main timekeeping function of the watch. The transparent case back allows a view of the luxury finishes of the movement.

With its official Swiss chronometer-testing institute certification (COSC) for accuracy and reliability, an impressive 52-hour power reserve and water-resistant to 100m/330ft, this timepiece offers unsurpassable performance and durability.

Available in polished or brushed 18-carat yellow or red gold and stainless steel, the De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope displays the polished Omega logo on the crown. With a choice of black alligator or brown calfskin straps, the De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope snaps safely shut with a fold over clasp.
