Daring renewal

Concord prepares to unveil a brand-new face.

The Watch Quote™ - February 14th, 2007

Enhanced by the energy and enthusiasm of a new team and drawing inspiration from its heritage, Concord is implementing a daring new repositioning strategy – expect the unexpected.

Vincent Perriard
New President of Concord

Embracing a fresh approach with a global perspective, Concord now occupies new international headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland. Vincent Perriard was appointed to President of Concord in June of 2006 and brings a visionary approach to the luxury world from his experiences within the Manufacture Audemars Piguet, Swatch Group, and his proprietary agency “Brand DNA”. Stefan Feltgen will join Mr. Perriard as Marketing Director of Concord, having gained deep knowledge of the watch industry from Cartier and Jaeger-LeCoultre, further enriched by his marketing experience at Nestlé.

“The chance to revive Concord presents an exciting opportunity and a thrilling adventure”, said Vincent Perriard. “After successfully relaunching Ebel only three years ago, Movado Group is committed to repositioning Concord in its portfolio and to restoring the importance of this historical brand in the watch industry.”

Boldness, avant-garde innovation, expertise

Concord is moving resolutely upscale while building on its century-old heritage and expertise. Quality defines the brand and governs each stage of the development and production of its watches. The uncompromising quest for reliability and technical perfection is enriched by an innovative, unexpected and ambitious design that marks a firm departure from the past.

The first creation dramatically reinterprets the established codes of the chronograph watch and vividly highlights the new Concord profile. A rigorous conceptual approach, technical mastery and a powerful personality are the signature features of this imposing, sophisticated and eminently masculine model, chronometer-certified by the COSC. Its extremely modern and highly structured graphic design is underscored by a unique case that contributes to maximum sturdiness in both physical and visual terms.

Similar to the avant-garde brand universe, which is characterized by a powerful sense of exclusivity and privilege, the new Concord chronograph embodies a taste for innovation and exception. This fresh breeze sweeps aside any trace of conformist attitudes toward watchmaking, and will be presented in Baselworld this April – expect the unexpected.
