An ardent need for novelty is passing through DeLaCour : graphite. The brand is presenting its latest Saqra Week-end entirely made of this new material, never used in watchmaking. Until now… Thanks to this material, DeLaCour transposes the luxury values in the delicacy of the making. Thus the universe of what constitutes the watch adds itself up to shape and mechanics. The brand has succeeded in making a case respecting top-of-the-range standards, satinated aspect, soft to touch. The material is noble and full of symbolism; it has its place among precious stones and metals as to host the fine mechanism of a luxury watch. Graphite, when shaped, shows itself rebellious. Technical Discription A very fine and interesting graphite and 18k pink gold self-winding gentleman’s wristwatch with day, date and 40-hour power-reserve indication.

When Louis Vuitton was invited to join the «Only Watch» Monaco project in 2005, the company donated a Tambour Automatic Diving Watch in pink gold. For this second edition, Louis Vuitton, trunk maker since 1854, has involved young Paul Pettavino in the development of a unique watch and its mini-trunk. Paul met and worked with the Louis Vuitton teams to design the Tambour 18 Mandarine watch and its mini-trunk. A combination of Louis Vuitton’s know-how and Paul Pettavino’s creativity and personality, this lot is composed of a lady’s watch and a mini-trunk. The yellow gold watch set with diamonds is a unique piece. Its orange mother of pearl dial is set with a yellow gold spiral of Monogram fl owers and the bracelet is in orange lizard, the young artist’s favourite colour. The mini-trunk - lined in mandarin leather and chocolate velvet, colours chosen by Paul to enhance the watch - has been created following his wishes. Not only can it hold the watch and some jewelry, there is also a secret compartment to hide your treasures or those that Paul might have put in himself. As a fi nal, personal touch and an invitation to travel, a Mandala, designed by Paul, has been painted on the outer Monogram canvas.
