When beautiful photos… speak louder than words... 
While the first watches of Officine Panerai were designed to be used essentially underwater, other models were designed to be used in different situations, for instance on board ship, to provide reliable time-measuring instruments for naval officers, such as the Mare Nostrum, the first example of which dates back to 1924. An ancient tradition, then, which the Florentine maker revived in 2005 by creating a series of Special Editions dedicated to the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge... 
On June 18th, 2005, Angelo Bonati, CEO of Officine Panerai, gave the starting signal for the first Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge in Porto Santo Stefano (Italy). This small Tuscan port, nestled at the foot of Mount Argentario, was proud to welcome some fifty of the last century’s finest classic yachts. Three Challenges later, the celebrated Italian brand had an opportunity to make known the values it shares with dedicated followers of classic sailing boats... 
Luminor and Marina, two names that bring to mind Officine Panerai’s specialist vocation, the construction of watches designed to be worn often, if not continuously, underwater, and for that reason equipped with an extremely luminous dial. The Luminor Marina Automatic 44 mm is a chronometer of the Contemporary Collection and it is offered with a newly devised metal bracelet incorporating innovative details relating to its suppleness, comfort in wear and finish... 
Officine Panerai and Ferrari: A succesful all italian fusion It was May 1947 when the first Ferrari crossed the gates of the firm in Maranello where, since then, all the Prancing Horse cars have been produced. A watch with a Ferrari logo on the dial needs necessarily to reflect an unique excellence. For this reason Panerai represents for Ferrari aprecious Italian know-how in terms of technological skills and creativity in watch making. For this reason in 2006 a new range of watches Ferrari engineered by Officine Panerai has been created... 
Radiomir was the first watch model created by Officine Panerai. A watch that crossed the history for the heroism characterising the value men who wore the Panerai at the beginning of the ’40. In that period this model presented for the first time some technical innovations which determined from the very beginning its character and its qualities: a case very easy to read, winding crown, screwed back and a strong cushion shape, but very simple at the meanwhile... 
Ever since the company was founded, research and development have been two of the strong points of Officine Panerai. The company has always been innovative, investing significant human and economic resources to this end. Making its debut in the history of watchmaking in 1938 with the production of the first professional underwater models for the Royal Italian Navy and now with many decades of experience in the field, Officine Panerai has recently made a further leap in quality with the creation of several of its own manufacture calibres...
