Basel 2009: Dior presents their first Dior Christal timepiece doted with the only sapphire crystal mysterious movement for a wristwatch developed by the Quinting Manufacture, thanks to the talent of five engineers (three Swiss watchmakers, an automative engineer and an electro technical engineer) who dreamed for seven years and who invested ten million Swiss francs in this project.
Created in the Parisian studios of Dior Avenue Montaigne, the adornment of geometric inserts of mother-of-pearl and metallization is inspired by Art Deco and Cinetic Art.
Doted with three fixed plates and three mobiles plates rotating to the rhythm of the days, hours and minutes, the watch changes facade to find its initial position only once a month.
Limited Editions available from autumn 2009.
Price: From 20 000 €.
