The Manufacture Vacheron Constantin chose the salons of the legendary Hôtel de Crillon in which to stage an international preview – for its clients and the press – of the new models gracing its Historiques collection.

Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendrier 1948

Embodying the essence of 1920s and 1940s creativity, the Historiques Triple Calendrier 1948 and 1942 models, along with the American 1921 – 36.5 mm, could not have dreamt of a better setting in which to be presented: a place brimming with heritage facing the Place de la Concorde, an atmosphere tinged with neo-retro touches and humming to the tune of jazz music; a discovery of mixology with one of the Hôtel de Crillon’s masters of the art; a spirits tasting, Blackjack and roulette casino tables. Other highlights of the event included a demonstration by a master-watchmaker working on Manufacture movements, along with a photo booth enabling guests to try on the new Historiques creations.

Vacheron Constantin Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942

Watch of dandies and chic urban women, icon of the Roaring Twenties, the Historiques American 1921 – 36.5 mm distils the spirit of an era as well as the high technical standards upheld by Vacheron Constantin. Reinterpreted in a 36.50 mm diameter version, this emblematic timepiece radiates even greater style. A cushion-shaped watch in 18K 5N pink gold, a distinctive diagonal display mode, an offset crown between 1 and 2 o’clock: the Historiques American 1921 small model continues to play the vintage card while remaining loyal to its original aesthetic codes. Classic and yet subtly offbeat...

The two Historiques Triple Calendrier models revive a complication and a style epitomising the 1940s: a calendar, a round case featuring triple gadroons, a two-tone dial, claw-type lugs and a mechanical manual-winding movement are the signature characteristics of the new Triple Calendrier 1942 and Triple Calendrier 1948.
