Collection Excellence Platine 2007
Platinum... pure, rare, eternal
The Watch Quote™ - November 30th, 2007
From as early as 1820, Vacheron Constantin was one of the first watch manufacturers to master the art of working with platinum.
In 2006, symbolising the transition to its second quarter of a millennium, Vacheron Constantin introduced its Vacheron Constantin Collection Excellence Platine with the Patrimony Contemporaine and the Malte Chronograph.
In 2007, Vacheron Constantin is proud to introduce two new models:
The Malte Tourbillon Regulator
Issued in a limited edition of 50, this timepiece is equipped with Calibre 1790R, a mechanical hand-wound movement. It is distinguished by a regulator-type hour and minute display, along with a tourbillon small seconds on the tourbillon and an over 40-hour power reserve.
The Malte Perpetual Calendar Chronograph
Issued in a limited edition of 50, this timepiece is equipped with Calibre 1141 QPR, a mechanical hand-wound movement. It is distinguished by a column-wheel chronograph mechanism with 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and central chronograph seconds hand, a perpetual calendar and a moon-phase display.
Vacheron Constantin Collection Excellence Platine is a collection in which all platinum timepieces will first be presented in a limited edition, featuring a platinum dial discreetly bearing the inscription "PT950" and fitted with a platinum case and claps.
